Cars didn't use a steering wheel.

The first cars made did not have a steering wheel, instead levers or rudders, as they were called back then, were used. At first the steering wheels were not that, but they were levers or cranks or handlebars. They coexisted mixed and just beginning the twentieth century the steering wheels will begin to appear, inside the cars, in a circular way. And wood will be one of the main materials with which they were made, but it will not be the only one used.
